My vain attempt at a post

Sorry Guys. This is all I've got right now. And the pictures aren't in order......I struggle this early in the morning.

Fail

So apparently I get an "F" for the month. I haven't had a moment to sit and breathe much less upload all the video and pictures and come up with a witty title a dialogue for it all. sigh....So, instead I'm going to bore you to tears with a quick update on what has been going on in the life of the Q's lately. Then I PROMISE I'll get some photos up this weekend. Hopefully my promise won't be as empty as Bryan's assertion that "In Honor of the Random" isn't dead.

As some of you know I changed jobs as of April 1st. Even after all the drama with Nissan I ultimately decided to take my chances and ask them to find me a job under the new structure...on the condition that I wouldn't move again. Of course, the moment I did that (okay, well 3 days later) a job opens up at Mazda that I thought I would be perfect for. So, I did what any 2x re-org survivor with the uncertainty of a 3rd does, I applied. And 3 weeks later had an informal offer! After that I gave my notice at Nissan and moved over here to Mazda. Now I'm working in Accessory Operations at the North American HQ in Irvine doing Accessory Marketing.

Q has been working insane hours as usual. Though we finally did get a mostly set schedule for him and can now count on his "weekend" being Mondays and Tuesdays. He continues to Manage at Catal/Uva Bar at Downtown Disney and gets to deal with all the lovely tourists on holidays. But the company he works for is very good and business is steady. All things to be thankful for in this economy.

Little Q is pulling up and trying to find his balance. He has started to let go of things as he's 'crusing' around furniture and can hold his own for about 30 seconds now. I see walking coming up very quickly now! I can't believe he's almost a year old now. Time has really flown by. I'm sure you will all see another post of Adrea's pictures (Brightwater's Photography) sometime in the next few months. 

Well, that's the quick version of the insanity. Hopefully I'll keep my promise and be able to get pics up soon.

I'm trying to get a better video since you will see he is extremely displeased in this one. LOL. Keep looking for updates :-)

Will Crawl for Food.....

If there was ever a shadow of a doubt, James is definitely our kid. All I had to do to get a better crawling video was put some snacks on the other side of the room.....

My Bday at Disneyland

Mike, James and DT and I went to Disneyland on Thursday even though it was pouring rain. I didn't get many pictures but we did at least go on Buzz Lightyear!

Round and Round and Round He Goes

I know I've told most of you about the "exersaucer" we got for James. Well, this is a video (can you tell I finally figured out my camera?) of him running around, and around, and around it. Of course, he did it 4 times in succession BEFORE I got my camera out so I only got one round on video...but you get the idea.

Lunar New Year Celebration

On January 31st James and I went to China Town with Karen, Jason, DT and Karen's Dad and Lena. Every year around this time we go to the same restaurant to celebrate Lunar New Year. The only difference this year was that James got to come along.

 

So he got to try Peking Duck and a bunch of other Chinese food. He wasn't fazed at all by the chopsticks and true to form loved everything.
