Go Bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

In a moment of sheer genius last night I realized that we had 2 VERY ripe bananas in the fridge. Since I'm currently trying not to eat things like banana bread in my quest for skinnyness, and since I would like to try and make the majority of the babyfood for James, I decided that it would be quite fitting for a Jebbia's first food to be bananas.

So this morning we gave it a try with WONDERFUL results. James couldn't get enough of his first taste of real food.

The Grand Adventures of Jamesaurous-Rex

Last week Mike, James and I met up with Bob and Carol to take James on the first boat ride where he was awake...for a while anyway. As we cruised through the canals of Naples, James drifted off to sleep while we ate dinner.
Of course, you must have the appropriately sized life jacket to go boating! Clearly James wasn't so pleased with it but luckily the regulations just
require it to be on the boat.

Pirate Party Extravaganza

On Saturday, August 16th the Q's threw a Pirate Party in honor of "Auntie Tizzle's" 27th Birthday Party. As all 27th birthdays should, our party had a bounce house, skull and crossbone confetti, a moveable skeleton, a pirate flag, a pirate photo banner, AND a 3 foot tall inflatable pirate ship drink cooler.

Our good friend Megan, who is very talented, took some awesome photos of James as our pirate mascot.

Other classic Q moments include:

DT in the Bounce House

and Bryan w/ Lester as a Pirate Wench

Another friend of mine has a blog here...Bright Waters Photography...Her photos are MUCH better than any I could ever think of taking. Here is a sample taken on June 28th:

A Size Comparison

So, as many of you may know, James is a bit of a Chub. The attached pics are a pretty good example of what a straight growth curve looks like!
