Yard House w/ the Cooks

Last night Q, James and I went to dinner with Jason and Karen at the Yard House at the Irvine spectrum. Jason and Karen are friends of ours that we randomly met when they were our downstairs neighbors in South Pasadena. One day as we were all chatting in the front yard we realized how small the world really is. Karen went to San Gabriel Christian at the same time Mike and I did! We've all remained friends through multiple moves (the Cooks to San Francisco, and us to TN) and we're all happily back in CA now.

Apparently Sony's new cameras come with a PCP function....I think James belongs in Alice in Wonderland in this shot. And here is a picture of all the Q's together....for once! James can't wait to get his hands on that menu.

Here's Karen with James:

4 Months Old!

Wow, it's been a while since I've had a chance to update this. We've had a really busy week. Since Labor Day, James has been to his first Dodger Game, Disneyland. He also explored his new exersaucer AND got his 4 month check up. Whew....no rest for the Q's lately.

Here's a picture of James in his exersaucer. It is completely obnoxious, which is awesome. It has a little "piano" that either plays notes, recites colors and animal names, or plays music themed with the animal for that key. It also spins in two different circles. Clearly, this will be a toy that will be around for a while...especially since his feet don't quite touch the ground yet!

And here's a picture of James right after his 4 month check up....with MIKE....finally.
Awwwwww....They MATCH....how cute :-)

How silly of me! I forgot the latest stats. James is healthy as can be and took his shots like a champ. He is also growing faster than we can keep up with. He's up to 26 inches long (though I really think he's taller than that) which is the 85th percentile. He's also 17.05 pounds, 95th percentile. And his head has grown to get him up to the 70th percentile. He's still a peanut head, just like Crazy Aunt Jeanne.

Goooooo Dodgers!

On Wednesday, 9/3, Mike and I took James to his very first Dodger Game. Unfortunately, none of the pics of James came out but, rest assured, he was adorable in his Dodger outfit (Thanks Nicole!). We were able to get a couple of really awesome pictures of the players from our seats though. So here they are!

Hi- Ho, Hi-Ho, to Disneyland we go

And finally, on Sunday we went to Disneyland for the evening with Adam, Mindy and Sawyer, Greg, Laura and Matthew, and my mom. James was FASCINATED by the parade. And he went on his very first ride.....Pirate of the Caribbean, of course! Below is a picture of Adam and Sawyer, a few pics of the parade, and a terrible pic of James and I on Pirates.

Just Keep Swimming, Swimming, Swimming

Today was HOT! So, after we picked Auntie Tizzle up from LAX we headed up to Pasadena to drop her off and borrow her pool for a bit.
Thank you Jennifer for the AWESOME shaded floatie!

Over the River and Through the Woods to Grandmother's House We Go

On Saturday Morning, Mike and I took James over to his Great Granparent's house (Ruegg side) to supervise while we helped Carol box things up in preparation for new carpet. James' Great Grandparents were thrilled to see him and each got their turn to sit and pose for a photo op with the cutie.

Go Bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

In a moment of sheer genius last night I realized that we had 2 VERY ripe bananas in the fridge. Since I'm currently trying not to eat things like banana bread in my quest for skinnyness, and since I would like to try and make the majority of the babyfood for James, I decided that it would be quite fitting for a Jebbia's first food to be bananas.

So this morning we gave it a try with WONDERFUL results. James couldn't get enough of his first taste of real food.
